Here is an example of a video podcast for students. "The Breakwater Project". The video is hosted at the YouTube service. YouTube provides a URL for your video (used here as the link) and also HTML code for embedding a player and link to the video in your blog. There is an example of using the embedded player below. Unfortunately the YouTube player will not operate in some TAFE classrooms

Video Podcast


Here is an example of a podcast from a student.
The assignment for students was to create a video podcast, using Movie Maker, that provided a review of four projects they had completed during the semester. For each project i) What was the purpose, ii) What were the outcomes, iii) What was the relevance to the 'real world'.

The 3 P's of Podcasting


Here is a great article from Julie Lindsay's blog to help get you started with Podcasting. Go to the April 29, 2006 post. Julie outlines three easy steps to get you into the swing with some excellent links to resources.

Step 1 PreProduction: Consider the following before even starting to record your podcast:

* What is the name of your podcast?
* How long will it be?
* Who will be heard? In what order?
* What music or sound effects do you need?
* What software do you need?
